This role involves handling all aspects of civil litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses, including expert witnesses.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Prepare cases for trial and assist during trial proceedings.
  • File pleadings with State and Federal courts and appear in court for hearings and conferences.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Assist in case strategy development and client counseling.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Admission to practice in West Virginia and Ohio is a plus.
  • 1-10 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
