Contracts Administrator - Legal Services
The candidate will provides professional services to the Legal Services Department, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts and other related documents (with an emphasis on IS/IT agreements) under the supervision of an attorney. The administrator manages and assists in performing functions related to the entire contract process within the department. Provides contract review and support to the attorneys within the Legal Services Department, with an emphasis on IS/IT agreements, including EULAs, SaaS agreements, subscription agreements, SLAs, and similar arrangements. Assists attorneys in ensuring compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and corporate agreements through coordination and review of documents, agreements, and licenses. Coordinates and administrates internal and external contracts, including but not limited to IS/IT agreements, service agreements, purchasing agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, business associate agreements, research agreements, and external consulting agreements. Possesses thorough business and contract negotiation knowledge; identifies issues, develops, and analyzes alternative solutions, makes recommendations, and implements solutions as approved. Assists with the coordination and oversight of contract workflow in Conga Contracts (enterprise-wide contracts management system), including contract execution and archiving. Provides education and functions as a point of contact and training to institution’s employees regarding contractual terms and procedures, contract review, and contract administration procedures. Reviews and assists in updating Standard Operating Procedures for Legal Services Department. Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution required. Certified Professional Contracts Manager (“CPCM”) certification preferred, but not required. Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to organize and maintain files, manage diverse assignments and projects, exercise judgment and decision making in prioritization of multiple deadlines. Dynamic, self-starter with strong negotiating skills. Proficient in reviewing and analyzing contracts and other legal documents. Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a heavy workload. At least five years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency with significant experience in the preparation and administration of contracts, with an emphasis on IS/IT contracts required. Two to four years’ experience within a hospital or health-related entity preferred.
