ProfileManager of Compliance The candidate will serve a critical role in overseeing the implementation of the compliance program and act as the focal point for compliance activities. Will report monthly to senior management at UPM and at regularly scheduled and emergency meetings of affiliated entities. Be called upon to report at state board meetings and clinical governance board meetings. Work closely with and have liaison reporting to the UWH National Board and/or UWH National designated Compliance and Privacy Committee. Oversee, monitor, and regularly report on the progress of the implementation of the compliance program. Establish methods to improve efficiency and quality of services and to reduce the vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste. Monitor compliance with HIPAA and HITECH. Update and revise compliance program in relation to changes in the organization, as well as in the law, policies, and procedures of government and private payer health plans. Develop and coordinate a multifaceted educational and training program that focuses on the elements of the compliance program. Act as a point of contact responding to government investigations and queries. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have JD degree , MHA, or MD. Should have 3+ years of experience in leadership in healthcare organizations, preferably with accountability for risk management, internal audit or previous ONCHIT and/or HIPAA experience and cyber risk fluency. Must have good judgment, excel in a participatory environment, have interpersonal skills to manage difficult situations with Boards, physicians and leadership.
