ProfileAdministrative Assistant The candidate will be directing the work of one or more Administrative Clerk Typists or the performance of non-clerical, non-secretarial support work of a less complex nature. Receives, screens, and refers calls and visitors. Receives, opens and distributes mail. Establishes and maintains manual and/or automated financial, accounting, personnel, and other administrative files and records. Produces a variety of typed statistical and narrative reports using spreadsheets and word processing; reviews typed materials for accuracy of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format and makes corrections. Collects, organizes, records and verifies accuracy of data and information for reports; monitors and maintains records of financial transactions. Composes reports and correspondence in accordance with established precedents. Maintains supplies inventory and appointment calendars, makes travel arrangements. Communicates with the general public, agency employees and officials, and representative of other organizations concerning activities, schedules, and procedures. Monitors and adjusts office workflow and production in order to meet deadlines. Update mainframe inventory and quality data. Process warranty claims. Must have High school diploma or G.E.D. Should have 1+ year of experience. Comprehensive knowledge of clerical and secretarial techniques and practices is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mainframe Applications is needed.
