Profile

Seeking Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 1-3 years of experience. Candidate will include: Drafting pleadings, notices, certificates of service, preparing discovery requests and responses, preparing financial affidavits, and subpoenas. Scheduling motions, setting appointments, docketing orders and other important dates, managing attorney calendars. Correspondence with clients and opposing clients. Electronic filing. Setting up new clients/ files and performing client intakes. Must have excellent writing and typing skills, a strong work ethic, good communication, friendly demeanor, and organizational skills. Should have experience handling all aspects of divorce cases and demonstrate proficiency and knowledge in Illinois family law, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and Clio. A paralegal certificate or degree is preferred. Must be responsible, detail-oriented, organized, a self-starter, and an independent worker, as well as a team player.
