Profile

Our company is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with a minimum of 7 to 10 years significant Plaintiff’s personal injury experience. Minimum of 10 personal injury trials, at least 5 of which must be First Chair. Must have excellent research and discovery ability in cases of moderate severity and complexity. Candidate must have the necessary experience to immediately assume mature files. The ideal candidate will have stable work history and possess strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills. Candidate will have significant experience in motions practice, briefs, and depositions and will have attended numerous trials and hearings to include multiple Daubert hearings, at least 10 expert depositions, 50+ lay depositions. Candidate must be prepared to present up to three writing samples to include up to one deposition summary. Performance based compensation. Relocation assistance available. Responsibilities • Reports to Attorney Group Director. • Handles own caseload as assigned in high volume practice. • Taking and defending depositions, discovery, preparation of witnesses, research, drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs. • Attend hearings • First Chair trial responsibilities. Second Chair responsibilities as assigned. • Manages work of a paralegal and/or other support staff as assigned.

Qualifications • JD degree from an accredited law school required • Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing • Must have a minimum of seven years’ personal injury experience. 10 personal injury trials, at least 5 of which are First Chair • Must be knowledgeable of applicable federal and state laws • Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and possess analytical skills necessary for competent legal interpretation • Technical proficiency • Must be capable of leadership and teamwork in a collaborative environment • Self-motivated and able to operate independently with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Must have valid TX driver license and good driving record • Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
