Paralegal Duties: Serve as the Law Department’s primary administrative support for projects, including Projects, Records Management/Retention, Technology/SharePoint consolidation, Process Documentation, and others. Maintains the Law Department’s Team/SharePoint in Microsoft Teams and Intranet sites to help facilitate the smooth operations of the Law Department. Provide administrative support for various meetings, including agendas, power point presentations, technology support, follow up actions. Support the defense of commercial and employment claims and litigation, and support the response to subpoenas and other regulatory inquiries, by coordinating production of records. Support the insurance certificate process with an ability to evaluate contractual terms on an as needed, seasonal basis. Provide budget support and tracking expenses through SAP. During budget season, assist with Accruals, Cap Ex Planning, and Budget submittals. Work with Law Dept. vendors and ensure bill payments.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High School Diploma. Paralegal Certification required. 2+ years direct experience with a corporate law department or law firm with emphasis in organizational skills. Strong organizational, problem solving, persuasion and project management skills are required. Ability to manage multiple system platforms, software and infrastructure to deliver actionable information to varied end-users. Strong data analysis skills. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with business associates and KONE personnel. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Extensive knowledge of business applications including but not limited to Microsoft 365. Ability to work with other software packages as identified by the department. The position requires the ability to analyze, communicate and drive complex issues and projects within all levels of management across functional and departmental lines. Ability to cost-effectively manage external resources. Working knowledge of various legal and risk management processes and procedures.
