The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. Must have 3+ years of experience. CFP, CPA, CFA and/or J.D. degree are preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of common benefit plans (i.e., defined contribution plan, defined benefit plan, stock options, stock appreciation rights, deferred compensation plan) is desired. Demonstrated ability to provide one-on-one employee financial counseling via phone, email, and occasionally in person is an asset. Proven ability to perform as a technical specialist in individual financial planning and individual income tax is a plus. Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate conceptual and technical ideas is ideal. Proven ability to document call dialogues in writing and summarizing information succinctly is preferred. Ability and willingness to conduct financial planning and benefits education workshops/seminars for client's employees in person or via the web id desired. Demonstrated experience remaining current on individual tax law changes and financial planning knowledge is an asset. Proven experience solving difficult problems and seeking assistance when necessary is a plus. Should preferably be skilled in experimentation with automation and digitization in a professional services environment including: innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions as well as working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools. Exposure to pricing, client value and the negotiation process including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities to introduce new pricing options is ideal.
