Associate Corporate Counsel/Corporate Counsel (Contract) The candidate responsibilities would include: Draft, review and negotiate domestic and international commercial contracts, channel partner contracts and professional services agreements. Identify business and legal risks and issues and suggest practical alternatives that allow the business of the company to move forward in compliance with domestic and international laws, rules, and regulations. Work with finance, sales operations, product, marketing, lab, support, and all other departments of the organization (a true cross-functional team player). Support product launches, marketing and promotional efforts, and policy initiatives in the developing genomics space.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have JD degree with excellent academic credentials and California Bar membership in good standing, or the ability to practice in California under its multi-jurisdictional practice rules. Should have 3+ years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, licensing agreements and other agreements. Mixture of in-house and law firm experience desired. Should have experience working with technology companies, biotechnology companies (commercial stage), and/or start-ups. Must have strong critical thinking and strategic skills demonstrating sound judgment. Contract management experience a plus.
