Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks tax attorney with 4+ years of experience advising clients such as governmental entities, for-profit companies, non-profit organizations and individuals in connection with a broad range of federal tax matters and transactions, including forming and advising partnerships, LLCs and other joint ventures; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; real estate fund formation and real estate investment trusts; tax-exempt and tax-advantaged financings; rebate and other arbitrage compliance matters; yield calculation methodology; private business use issues; and other tax matters affecting 501(c)(3) and other tax-exempt entities. The candidate will be primarily supporting the Business and Corporate, Public Finance and Trusts and Estates practice groups. Experience with Internal Revenue Code Sections 103, 141 and 148 are preferred. Familiarity and experience with any of the following would be a plus: tax credit transactions, executive compensation/409A, and real property and tangible personal property taxation issues generally, and specifically in the context of renewable energy development and in other commercial real estate transactions. Should be prepared to represent clients during IRS examinations, if needed. Must be an active member in good standing of the Bar.
