Civil and Criminal Contract Research Attorney
Candidate will conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of law and proposed tentative rulings for a variety of law and motion matters. Will review the legal sufficiency of: motions to dismiss; motions to suppress; speedy trial motions; discovery motions; motions to change venue; pre-trial and common law motions; post-trial and post-conviction motions; and writs of prohibition, mandamus and habeas corpus. Knowledge of grants of immunity, sentencing alternatives, and sentencing computations under the determinate sentencing law, probation revocation/modification, and admissibility of evidence is also required. Attorneys in this contract position perform occasional overflow research and writing work, and the position does not guarantee a particular number of contract hours at any time.

Qualification and Experience Qualifications: 5+ years of legal experience in their field and an active State Bar Membership to join its panel of Independent Contract Research Attorneys.
