Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: As a main point of contact for clientele, serves a key function in our firm’s success and requires a strong background in sales, customer service and legal proficiency. Interviewing clients and witnesses. Conducting online investigation of parties and witnesses. Drafting demand letters. Drafting other correspondence. Drafting discovery requests and responses- Drafting legal pleadings. Researching legal issues. Reviewing, organizing and summarizing voluminous documents and providing summaries. Preparing documents for filing and service. Working with attorneys in developing case strategies.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 1 year of experience working in civil and employment litigation at a law firm. Experience propounding discovery, responding to discovery and drafting complaints/demands. Eager to learn and quick to catch on. Strong verbal and written communication skills- Proficiency in office programs (PDF, Dropbox, Outlook, Word, and Excel). Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Consistent and thorough follow-up- Impeccable customer service. Desire to play an active role in the growth of firm. Spanish is a plus.
