ProfileContracts Administrator The candidate will assist in contract review; revise, draft, and negotiate primarily commercial contracts. Will advise Senior Management and other Company personnel of implications of contract requirements and proposed revisions and administration. Will also be responsible for maintenance of the contract management system. Under supervision from Attorney, Director of Contracts and Compliance, review and revise business operations contracts, license agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor contracts, and other documents and agreements for review, approval, and use throughout the Company. Advise Senior Management and other personnel on contracts requirements and mitigate risk to the company through negotiations. Advise internal clients about contract responsibilities, including flow-downs from customers and to suppliers. Negotiate contractual terms with counter-parties and resolve contract disputes. Perform research about drafting requirements, including best practices and legal mandates, as necessary. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have an Associateâ€™s degree in paralegal studies or bachelorâ€™s degree from four-year college. 4-7 years of contracts or business-related legal work with a focus on commercial contract review and interpretation. Relevant contracts experience (4+ years) in a corporate setting; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) considered a plus. Should have excellent knowledge of MS Office Professional software and experience with Adobe Acrobat. Experience with a contract management system is desirable. Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal personnel, customers, regulatory agencies, or professionals in the industryâ€™s community. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables and interpret them in a visual and/or pictorial form.
