Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property and technology transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, development agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property matters related to mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration strategies.
  • Handle all stages of commercial transactions, from initial negotiation to final execution.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments in intellectual property and technology law to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic advice to technology companies at various stages of growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a law firm setting, specifically in intellectual property and technology transactions.
  • Substantial experience with complex commercial transactions, including those involving technology companies.
  • Proven track record of advising on M&A and other corporate transactions from an intellectual property and commercial perspective.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Exceptional academic performance with a focus on intellectual property, technology law, or related fields.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating technology-related contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
