ProfileCorporate & Litigation Paralegal Duties: Perform legal and factual research. Identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material. Organize and analyze information. Cross-check and validate information, and prepare written reports. Manage and maintain corporate records and filings. Interact with internal corporate clients. Prepare correspondence to clients, outside counsel and opposing counsel. Maintain reference files. Organize and track case files. Review and monitor new and updated regulations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house corporate law department. Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program required, and strong academic record desired. Strong experience in systems maintenance of litigation files, managing litigation hold notices, e-Discovery, managing contracts database, record retention policies, assisting with corporate governance matters, and assisting with certain regulatory filings necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations. Excellent organizational, technical and writing skills; great attention to detail. Ability to research, analyze and synthesize large amounts of data; pay attention to details, work concurrently on a variety of projects, and work effectively under pressure and work independently to meet deadlines is essential.
