Labor and Employment Legal Assistant The candidate will be creating, editing, proofreading and redlining of legal documents for accuracy and grammar. Formatting, finalizing, and filing of legal documents in state and federal court (including appeals). E-filing knowledge for state and federal courts. Scheduling of conference , Zoom meetings and hearings. Proofreading and cite checking legal briefs, while creating Table of Contents and Table of Authorities. Analyzing local rules and judicial preferences. Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files. Updating and maintaining client files. Preparing legal correspondence, documents and organize and maintain files and records. Arranging for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, and court officials. Maintaining attorney calendars manually and through Outlook (i.e. scheduling appointments, calendaring due dates, case deadlines, etc.). Performing a variety of administrative functions such as opening new matters, preparing engagement letters, creating and filing expense reports, entering attorney time, preparing travel arrangements, and assisting with business development projects. Should have 3-5 years prior experience as a Labor & Employment Legal Assistant.
