Profile

Legal Assistant Duties: Supporting 2 litigation attorneys. Will be responsible for guardianship/conservatorship/probate matters that require litigation. draft and revise pleadings (including preparation of subpoenas and requests for production); utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills on a daily basis; assemble and organize voluminous discovery documents for trial; organize and docket follow up on multiple cases; timely complete tasks without reminders and with minimal supervision.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 3 years' solid experience in litigation. Experience in guardianship/conservatorship and probate administration is a plus. Strong teamwork relationship with the attorney while promoting your ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal skills are a must as you will daily draft/revise documents and communicate with attorneys, court staff, experts, witnesses and clients. Must be able to: calmly and effectively work under time pressures; meet court filing deadlines; be familiar with court rules and individual county supplemental local rules.
