Litigation Legal Assistant Candidate must be: a hard worker with a great attitude who understands the working relationships that exist between attorneys and their clients; an experienced legal assistant who can work independently and as part of an extremely busy team; able to take direction from a couple of associates with heavy workloads in civil litigation, including, personal injury defense; construction defect defense; product liability defense; premises liability; and trucking liability defense; familiar with Arkansas Rules of Civil Procedure in order to calendar the appropriate deadlines for Applicant to timely facilitate the management of the cases worked by the two associates; and, while not altogether necessary, it would be helpful if Applicant is also familiar with Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; experienced in scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials across the state as well as, occasionally, across the country; a quick transcriptionist and editor who knows how to apply grammatical rules while efficiently and consistently formatting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc., since both associates dictate the majority of their working documents; and, all things at all times to a couple of associates who are trying to establish good foundations in their careers with the right person for many years to come.
