International Tax Manager Duties: Provide excellent client service. Direct and guide outbound and inbound multinational enterprises on key operational and business decisions, including choice of entity, operational and legal entity alignment and optimization, supply chain and value chain matters, and group access to operating capital and other cross-border cash-flow considerations, in the context of the client’s unique facts and circumstances. Advise clients and their stakeholders on tax planning decisions while helping them understand and navigate the process of related decision-making in the context of near-term and long-term assumptions and objectives. Assist colleagues in the Mergers & Acquisition group with the tax aspects of cross-border structuring for acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and other strategic transactions, along with the development of detailed contemporaneous transaction documentation in the form of transaction slide decks, memoranda, or other documentation. Assist colleagues in the core federal tax group with the proper U.S. foreign reporting of transactions and current year operations of clients’ foreign group members. Advise clients on relevant income tax treaty matters.

Qualifications: JD/LLM or CPA/MST and 5+ years of experience working on engagements involving international tax, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning. Knowledge of a broad range of U.S. international and domestic tax law provisions. Strong research, writing, and Excel modeling skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Client-centric, proactive and flexible service approach. Ability to lead and drive multiple engagements while fostering a team-centric, supportive client service team environment. Ability and desire to strive for excellence in tax technical ability, relationship building, and the development of new and experienced staff professionals. Ability to develop and deepen existing and new client relationships along with other verticals and lines of service.
