A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join their team in a partner-track role. Duties:
- Collaborate with the firm’s managing partner to create tailored estate and asset protection strategies for clients.
- Led the implementation and customization of estate plans, including retitling, benefit application preparation, and prosecution.
- Supervise the estate and elder law planning team, providing guidance and managing paralegal and support staff.
- Manage estate/trust administration and fiduciary services in the probate department.
- Develop and manage the planning department to ensure business goals and targets are met.
- Act as the primary attorney for clients, handling all communications, questions, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure the coordination of the planning, application, and customer service functions of the firm.
- Train and supervise legal assistants and assist in paralegal hiring processes.
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Assess prospective clients' needs and guide them through the necessary steps.
- Additional duties as required to support the firm’s growth and client service.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Virginia State Bar (Maryland and District of Columbia Bar admission a plus).
- 2-4 years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect compassionately with clients and team members.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to high-quality work and client satisfaction.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with the drive to exceed expectations and attention to detail.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Virginia State Bar license (required).
- Maryland and District of Columbia Bar licenses (preferred).
