Corporate Paralegal - Store Responsibilities : Maintain intake and status log for various litigation matters, inquiries and similar external matters and refer the same to internal departments for appropriate action, as needed; Coordinate responses to subpoenas and other requests for information from governmental agencies in collaboration with an in-house attorney and/or outside counsel; Create, disseminate and manage litigation holds and maintain related logs; Keep abreast of developments in key areas of employment law and inform and work with internal company clients to timely make any necessary adjustments; In collaboration with an in-house attorney, provide support to and communicate with outside counsel regarding administrative agency charges (e.g., EEOC), litigation matters and discovery requests; Oversee the contracts database system which includes updating and controlling templates, filing electronic and physical agreements and maintaining the database; Conduct research and resolve routine legal questions under the supervision of an in-house attorney; Prepare, review and negotiate routine documents, agreements and amendments; Maintain corporate and similar documents including, board and committee minutes; Code, manage and track legal invoices; Perform routine administrative duties such as mailings, photocopying/scanning, proofreading and maintaining legal department files; Use, develop and update templates commonly needed by internal company clients.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Paralegal certification and/or equivalent two or four year degree. Should have 3+ years corporate paralegal experience, preferably in a consumer-facing environment. Employment charge and litigation experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products including Sharepoint and Adobe.
