Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will be assisting attorneys in client intake, Chapter 7 and 13 petition preparation, coordinating documents with trustee, 341 preparation with client, review of claims, objections to claims, motions to avoid liens, loss mitigation as well as correspondence with clients, adversaries, and courts. Will organize and track status of cases, and assist in the management of attorney court appearances and motion calendars.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 2 or more years experience working as a paralegal. Must have knowledge of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut bankruptcy courts and court procedures. Should have excellent writing and communication skills, ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule. Should have ability to multi-task, in depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Should have ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy. Must have proficiency in Spanish.
