Litigation - General (consumer)
Litigation Assistant Duties: Responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing accounts for suits, preparing complaints, obtaining required documents, checking services, as well as processing checks. Assist Attorneys in preparing all accounts for suit. Assist in preparing legal pleadings, specifically the complaint, as directed and supervised by Managing Attorney and Associate Attorneys. Properly record info / account progress in RMS, including ensuring account is in correct / accurate status Request documents from client, as needed (i.e., application/statements), in order to file Complaint Request filing fees, where necessary. Track service of the Complaint on all Defendants. Maintain and process checks / void checks in compliance with the Check Accountability Policy / Void Check Policy. Process and maintain checks in accordance with the Check Accountability Policy. Comply with all applicable standard operating procedures set forth by this office and by the office. Perform other duties as assigned by Managing Attorney or Office Manager.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Attention to Detail. Professionalism. Organization. Time Management. Computer Literacy. Oral Communication Skills. Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
