ProfileAssistant Attorney General The candidate will work in the Public Access and Opinions division. Will investigate and draft opinions on FOIA and OMA, mediate disputes between members of the public and public bodies, help design and provide training relating to FOIA or OMA, and assist the Public Access Counselor with other assigned tasks. Must have excellent legal research and writing skills, and be able to communicate effectively with citizens, government officials and members of the media. Should preferably have experience with the Freedom of Information Act, the Open Meetings Act or media-related issues. Must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application.
