A law firm in Columbia, SC, is seeking a seasoned Business Litigation Attorney with 5-15 years of post-law school experience to manage complex business, financial, and professional liability cases. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional advocacy, discovery, and trial skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of litigation in complex business, financial, and professional liability cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
• Develop and implement discovery plans, including document requests, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Represent clients in court during trials and hearings.
• Collaborate with legal teams and experts to gather evidence and build compelling arguments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs to support the litigation process.
• Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• 5-15 years of post-law school experience, which may include a judicial clerkship.
• Excellent advocacy, discovery, and trial skills in business litigation.
• Strong writing and analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with legal teams.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.
