Contract Specialist and Legal Assistant The candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing enterprise-wide contract management system and policies; assisting attorneys with the preparation, review and execution of contracts; coordinating corporate governance matters for The Church Pension Fund and its affiliated companies; providing research regarding guardianship matters; reviewing, editing, formatting, and comparing complex legal documents, presentations and other materials; assisting with the implementation of our document management and document retention policies; completing other projects of assigned attorneys in the Legal Department; and assuming other general corporate responsibilities as they arise.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have a BA/BS degree or combination of education and experience. Should have 5 years of PQE. Should have good working knowledge of corporate governance matters. Must have strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility. Should have the ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited oversight while functioning well in a team environment. Must be effective at establishing, maintaining and building strong working relationships with all levels of CPG employees as well as Trustees, directors, external clients and outside counsel. Must have excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills. Should have strong computer skills, including the following minimum Microsoft Office product proficiencies: Excel – beginner level, PowerPoint – intermediate level, and Word – advanced level.
