Associate Attorney
Duties: Patent Application preparation and prosecution. Client Disclosure review and technical assessments. Working familiarity with US Patent Office rules of practice. Preparing patent disclosures from Client instructions. reviewing Office Action communications and making response recommendations. Trademark Application preparation and prosecution. Working familiarity with US Trademark Office rules of practice. Preparing trademark applications. Eevaluation of specimen of use. Preparing and filing Office Action responses. Client and Partner focus. Timely communications and responsiveness. Positive and cooperative attitude. Understanding project objectives and work product goals.

Qualification and Experience Candidate should have: BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering; strong academic background. JD degree and State Bar passage. USPTO Patent Bar registration (or bar passage indication). 3-5 years years prior experience in patent prosecution preferred. Experience as a patent examiner or patent agent a plus. Applicable Industry Engineering Experience considered beneficial. Additional experience and book of business welcomed Capability to work remotely commensurate with candidate experience level. Universities attended and degrees earned. GPAs. Writing Seminar course grade. Professional and personable demeanor. Thoughtful understanding and listening skills. Clear communication skills – written and oral. Technical capability and understanding. Team outlook and focus. Effective and collaborative work capabilities. Foster a cooperative and encouraging atmosphere.
