ProfileClayton office of our client seeks family general counsel with experience. The candidate will join divorce and family law firm. Will counsel the Managing Partner and the Founding Partners with respect to the legal implications of the Firm's major decisions, strategies and transactions. Serves as a key adviser to the Managing Partner and Founding Partners on issues of Firm governance, risk management, Firm growth, policy implementation, internal and external communications relating to sensitive matters, strategic planning and execution, and special projects. Helps supervise the Client Care Director, Client Care Department and lawyers at the firm to ensure maximum client satisfaction. Assists the Managing Partner, Founding Partners and other employees in communications with the achievement of strategic goals and objectives of the Firm. Negotiates or reviews contracts and agreements between the Firm and its partners or employees or any third parties. Negotiates separation agreements. Helps ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to employment relationships, employee benefit programs, intellectual property rights and obligations, and professional responsibilities. Helps coordinate and supervise all counsel engaged to represent the Firm with respect to the resolution of potential claims against the Firm. Helps coordinate and supervise all outside legal counsel engaged to represent the Firm with respect to asserted claims or legal proceedings. Serves as an advisor to the Managing Partner and Founding Partners?regarding strategic planning, practice management, knowledge management and ancillary businesses. Assumes responsibility for special projects assigned from time to time by the Managing Partner or Founding Partners. Must have prior experience as General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel.
