Temporary Part-time Senior Program Associate - Center on Immigration and Justice The candidate will devise, manage, and coordinate technical assistance to program sites in the form of peer-to-peer on-site training programs, webinars, conference calls, surveys, phone consultations, and other means as appropriate. Will continuously identify promising practices among subcontractors and devise ways to disseminate information about such practices to encourage implementation elsewhere. Conduct site visits of program sites, which includes plane travel and driving, and draft site visit evaluations. Develop and maintain relationships with project partners. Creatively brainstorm solutions for challenges experienced by program sites. Coordinate development and review of legal orientation materials (in English and Spanish) and provide meaningful feedback. Manage the work of junior project staff and interns. Assist on other projects as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have JD degree and 2-4 years of legal, government, or policy work experience (including internships); knowledge of immigration, child welfare, criminal or juvenile justice, or other justice areas. Strong writing and research skills is essential. A valid driver’s license is essential. Experience representing detained immigrants is a strong plus.Experience with “know your rights” and other community education initiatives are a strong plus.
