General Felony Assistant State's Attorney The candidate will handle a high-volume court docket involving complex cases. Handle all aspects of case and trial preparation, including interviewing victims and witnesses and overseeing the continuing investigation. Draft and prepare briefs, motions, and legal memoranda. Manage a court calendar. Coordinate with city and state agencies to provide assistance, protection, and services to victims of crime. Perform legal research and apply principles and practices of law, including court procedures. Should have a . degree and be licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. Must have 1-3 years of trial experience. Should have a working knowledge, or ability to become knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, Judicial Dialog. Should be well organized, self-motivated and a team player. Must be comfortable with public speaking and in the courtroom.
