Paralegal
The candidate will provide duties include: General paralegal support in connection with corporate governance (Board of Director meetings, documents, minutes, unanimous consents, etc.), outside counsel engagement and invoices, contract administration, legal budgets, matter management reports, and timekeeping. Preparation and filing of pleadings in administrative and judicial proceedings, including public utility commission filings, litigation, mediation, arbitration, hearings and other dispute resolution proceedings. Assistance with acquisitions and business development, such as drafting acquisition agreements and schedules, gathering material for due diligence, and coordinating closings. Drafting of real estate documents, including purchase/sale agreements, easements, and leases. Review of contracts and other legal documents as directed to ensure that the best interests of the business are protected. Maintenance of files and reports such as confidential labor and employment files, internal legal or compliance reports.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 2+ years as a practicing paralegal experience with paralegal certification/degree or have 7+ years as a practicing paralegal experience without paralegal certification/degree. Degree or certification in paralegal studies is preferred. Must have knowledge of routine legal procedures and legal terminology. Must have knowledge of preparation of standard legal documents. Must have ability to successfully interact with and be responsive to co-workers locally and across the business. Must have ability to successfully interact with the administrative function of regulatory agencies and courts and to conduct oneself in a professional and persuasive manner with the appropriate stakeholders. Must have ability to provide successful interaction with customers, contractors, vendors and the general public. Must have ability to develop strong and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
