ProfileParalegal provide paralegal, legal secretarial, and administrative support to a dynamic team to support litigation, policy advocacy, grassroots organizing and media outreach. Preparation of legal documents, including cite checking, completing tables of contents and authorities for briefs, proofreading, formatting, and related tasks. Preparation and indexing of electronic and hard-copy administrative records under the California Environmental Quality Act, appellate appendices, and records for state and federal court litigation. Filing and serving of documents and maintenance of legal dockets, including ensuring compliance with court rules in a variety of state and federal jurisdictions, e-filing, courtesy copies, calendar management for administrative actions and court filings, corresponding with clerks' offices, and related tasks. Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A university degree. Paralegal certification. 2+ years of previous paralegal experience. Legal secretarial skills. Excellent writing and communication skills. The ability to multitask and work well with others as a part of an effective team. A strong work ethic. Familiarity with California and federal environmental laws.
