Duties: Supports the legal team with various aspects of the legal function. Drafting and negotiating contracts and real estate agreements, maintaining real estate database, coordinating the processing of nondisclosure agreements, supporting the operational license process and other compliance matters, supporting corporate filings, trademark management, outside counsel invoicing, and general corporate, contract, license and real estate work. Assists the legal team, the company’s business units and corporate functions in driving compliance efforts in a wide variety of areas. Drafts, negotiates and manages a variety of transactional agreements, including supplier agreements, goods for resale vendor agreements, and service agreements. Assists in responding to regulatory agency inquiries and investigations on a variety of issues, including but not limited to, product recalls, licensing, and agency inspection observations. Helps the company manage its document retention policies. Assists in the preparation and processing of real estate-related documentation, including leases, lease amendments and addendums, lease assignments, purchase agreements, and estoppels. Assists in the drafting of legal communication to third parties. Maintains legal corporate and real estate files and other related documentation. Assists in preparation and processing of license documentation, including license and supply agreements and related materials. Identifies relevant laws, statutes and regulations that may be applicable to company initiatives. Provides general administrative support for legal team for specific business and legal needs. Work with compliance leadership to manage operational license database. Coordinate regulatory incident tracking through SharePoint tool. Successfully completes special projects and other assignments, as required.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred. 1-3 years’ experience required. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point) and able to become proficient in other software, and data and matter management systems used by the legal department. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to work with team members ranging from executive management to staff team members. Ability to manage, organize and summarize complex data. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the company’s internal and personnel affairs. Substantive knowledge of dispute resolution and laws and regulations, and legal research skills in order to effectively resolve problems and conflicts. Strong negotiation and decision-making skills to resolve claims and legal issues. Excellent interviewing and investigative skills and ability to manage, organize and summarize complex data. Ability to explain legal terminology and obligations in understandable terms.
