Paralegal The candidate will drafts loan originator compensation plans for branches throughout the United States and ensures compensation plans are consistent with state and federal regulations and internal policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions: Works with managers to compile information for compensation plans and answer any questions; Reviews compensation information to ensure compliance with Regulation Z, other state and federal regulations, and internal policies and procedures; Requests and reviews appropriate documentation for compensation plan and payment requests; Drafts loan originator compensation plans; Discusses different situations with branch managers to determine compliance with regulations and policies (e.g., branch-generated leads, bonuses, incentives, commission amounts, etc.); Audits payroll records to ensure employees were paid according to their compensation plans (i.e., under or overpayments) and applicable minimum wage laws and also ensures employees logged hours pursuant to their employment status (i.e., part- or full-time), working with HR as necessary to switch employees’ status. Alerts payroll of incentive or bonus compensation (e.g., signing bonus, production bonus, discretionary bonus, incentive, etc.). Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school diploma or equivalency degree. Paralegal degree/certificate and/or 2+ years of experience working in the legal field. Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, strict deadlines, written and oral communication, organization, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere. Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software products. Basic knowledge and understanding of current business acumen. Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service best practices. Solid knowledge and understanding of conducting legal research (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, CCAP, PACER, etc.).
