Employment Law Paralegal
Duties: Manage information across digital and physical platforms, delivers a seamless, secure and sustainable experience. Entails provision of a broad range of employment law support services, including management of third-party subpoena process, assisting with litigation and discrimination charges on an as needed basis, attorney demand letters, wage and hour claims, managing document preservation holds, tracking matters in matter management system, and other miscellaneous legal matters. Will be responsible for managing Xerox Corporation’s subpoena and employment records request process on a timely basis. Will also gather, review, and redact documents necessary to respond to subpoenas and requests for records.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate or Equivalent College Degree in a related field. 5+ years of relevant paralegal experience in employment law, including law firm and/or corporate law office experience. Experience reviewing and evaluating subpoenas and requests for records; ensuring that such subpoenas and requests are properly served and necessary authorizations are included; determining (in consultation with in-house counsel) whether to narrow the scope of the request, object, comply, or move to quash. Should have substantive litigation experience and strong investigative skills to assist with investigating and drafting responses to EEOC and State charges, and attorney demand letters. Should have proven ability to successfully set up, handle and manage a caseload and/or multiple assignments; have knowledge of legal holds and discovery processes. Must be able to exercise independent judgment towards matter preparation and initiate contact with clients, attorneys and other involved parties (at all levels in the organization). Must have sound discretion and judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have a positive attitude and genuine desire to be a team player willing to assist with other assignments, projects, cases and matters within the Office of General Counsel. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is needed. Proficiency with TeamConnect and Legal Hold Pro, or similar case management and legal holds databases would be a plus.
