Litigation Assistant The candidate will organize legal documents for attorney review. Draft and proofread legal correspondence and pleadings. Research local, state and federal rules for filings and service of process. Efile pleadings in district, state, federal and appellate courts. Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses to schedule conference calls, meetings, depositions, etc. Court calendaring and confirm motions. Review, process and file mail and emails. Organize and maintain files using Prolaw software (document management system.). Work for multiple litigation attorneys (civil litigation, commercial and construction.)
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 12 years of experience. Must have proven outstanding verbal and written communications skills with professional demeanor. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Additional technology experience including OneDrive, ProLaw software experience a plus. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized. Must have ability to handle large caseloads and meet deadlines. Must have ability to work independently and within a team; supervise assistants when needed. Should preferably have college degree.
