Paralegal, Senior The candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support to the Chief Legal Officer on a wide range of legal issues related to the operation of primary care health clinics. Will perform legal research as needed. Assist in drafting and revising a variety of complex contract documents including, but not limited to, professional services agreements, education affiliation agreements, vendor contracts, and health care provider employment agreements. Will prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, contracts, and other documents. Assist in drafting and revising policies and procedures. Will assist in drafting and revising documents for the Board of Directors and Board Committees. Assist in the management of litigation and claims and coordinate with outside counsel in representing the organization in matters of discovery, alternative dispute resolution and hearings in courts and administrative agencies. Assist in the review of records requests, including both medical records and public information requests. Assist with the preparation of correspondence, pleadings, letters, and other legal documents. Will assist with filing and serving pleadings via electronic filing and regular filing. Assist with filing, production and organization of documents, research materials, contracts, and discovery items. Will maintain the CLO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and appointments as well as assisting with the preparation for events, travel, and meetings. Establish and ensure favorable relationships throughout the organization. Ensure all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent CommUnity Care in a highly professional manner at all times. Uphold and ensure compliance and attention to all company policies and procedures as well as the overall mission and values of the organization. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have knowledge of legal principles and practices. Should have knowledge of legal research techniques. Knowledge of legal terminology. Knowledge of healthcare terminology. Knowledge of legal communication principles and practices. Should have High level of skill at building relationships and providing excellent customer service. High level of organization and ability to manage multiple activities. Should have strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have proficiency in the use of computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Should have 5 years of previous paralegal experience in healthcare or health-law field. Should have 10 or more years of previous paralegal experience in healthcare or health-law field.
