Compliance Officer The candidate contributes actively in the development, implementation, training, monitoring and administration of the Global Ethics and Compliance Program to assure compliance with laws, regulations and Company policies on a global basis â€“ with particular responsibilities for the Americas Region. Assist Global Compliance Officer to develop E&C Program strategy, plans, policies and procedures; give guidance to Local Compliance Teams on monitoring local compliance. Manage the operations of the Ethics & Compliance Program in the Region, exercising leadership and oversight of initiatives. Manage compliance investigations in the Region, including oversight of investigation of reports received through the Helpline or from other sources, coordinating with HR in the development and implementation of appropriate discipline and other corrective actions, and enforcement of the non-retaliation policy. Provide advice related to compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contract requirements. Create, edit and review policies related to compliance issues for global implementation in the company. Work cross-functionally with employees at all levels to ensure efficient integration of compliance program into business processes. Training: work with the GCO, other E&C team members in selection and development of courses. Provide training directly to employees on occasion as needed. Control the follow-up of the trainings Advocate for Ethics and Compliance through creation and dissemination of targeted communications. Ability to travel up to 20% of time, as necessary.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Law Degree (JD). Should have 5 years of working experience in legal and at least 2 to 5 years of working experience in compliance domain. Basic knowledge in Spanish is a plus. Must have strong cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to effectively convey the Companyâ€™s core ethical values at all levels of the company. Should have ability to work collaboratively with others and with managers at highest levels to integrate compliance policies and laws into business processes. Must have ability to identify, understand and provide guidance on international compliance issues and laws, Must be able to balance many projects at once and prioritize effectively based on risk. Should be able to work independently with little supervision in creating, implementing and monitoring of a broad range of compliance initiatives. Must be able to work as a team, strong computer and presentation skills, capacity of interact with Regional Executive Committee members and General Managers.
