Senior Subcontracts Manager
Duties: Draft, review, and lead negotiation of subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual instruments to attain company needs, client requirements, and assure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Provide counsel and guidance to internal clients regarding subcontract type, higher-tier contract requirements, insurance and risk considerations, subcontracting practices, and issue resolution. Collaborate with project managers, contract administrators, risk management, project finance, project accounting, and other disciplines as necessary to assure successful negotiation and timely execution of agreements. Take initiative to identify needs, develop, and implement efficient and effective practices and processes to meet evolving business needs. Develop templates, training materials, and conduct training on subcontracting practices, processes, and basic legal concepts.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in drafting, editing, negotiating subcontracts/contracts, preferably in the civil engineering, transportation infrastructure, or environmental remediations business sectors. Detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, and collaborate with team members and solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment. Working knowledge of state, municipal, and Federal Highway Administration contracting processes and practices. Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro. Preferred: Paralegal Certification, or applicable advanced degree. Professional Certification (e.g. Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), etc.). Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Experience working in a corporate contracts department. Working knowledge of CPFF, T&M, FP contract compensation types.
