Job Overview: A law firm located in Washington, DC is seeking a motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property practice group, specializing in patent prosecution. Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Conduct comprehensive patent research and analysis.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their innovations and technology.
• Provide strategic advice regarding patent portfolio management.
• Ensure compliance with . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) procedures and requirements.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams within the firm to support broader IP strategies.
• Assist with patent litigation and disputes as needed.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Admission to the State Bar.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
• Excellent academic record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership.
• USPTO registration.
