Legal Assistant Duties: File organization and maintenance (opening/closing, scanning, prep for hearings, etc.). Handling incoming calls and requests via fax and email. Correspondence with clients, physicians, etc. (email and letters). Drafting letters, memos, etc. Calendaring timelines and scheduling client/attorney appointments, depos, etc. Filing documents with the Social Security Administration. Data entry into Case Management System (Clio).
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must have previous experience as a legal assistant. Should be an organized self-starter who learns quickly. Familiarity with Social Security Disability is also required. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
