Civil Rights Paralegal Candidate will handle cases from inception to completion including new client intake forms, requesting medical records, responding and propounding to discovery, submitting electronic court filings (federal (CM/ECF) and state e-filing), calendaring deadlines, trial preparation tasks, law and motion experience is a plus and a variety of other tasks including reception duties as needed. Must have 3 years' Prior law office experience REQUIRED (prefer personal injury and/or civil litigation background); knowledge of federal paralegal litigation is a big plus. Must be a self-starter, will not need to be micromanaged and has a desire to learn and grow in an accomplished civil rights firm. Skills required will include: Mircosoft Word,MircosoftExcel, CM/ECF-PACER (federal court filing system), One Legal, MyCase, Westlaw; typing +65 words per minute, ability to multitask with excellent organizational, communication, time management skills- punctuality, client relations and proper phone etiquette. Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish). Must read, write and communicate in English at a proficient level.
