General Counsel The candidate will serve as a General Counsel of UBS Bank USA, an FDIC-insured depository institution with over USD 50 bn in assets. Will support and advise bank management and its board (comprised of a majority of independent directors) on legal and regulatory matters. Manage firm Bank USA Deputy General Counsels, and individually or through that team. Participate in bank Board, Committee and management meetings. Review and provide counsel on strategic and new business initiatives. Support and advise the Chairman, senior management and the corporate secretary regarding Board and Committee meetings and materials. Provide legal advice and support relating to all contracts and agreements with affiliates and third parties. Provide legal advice and support relating to all transactional and product specific issues and matters (e.g. individual loan transactions, litigation matters, client agreements and forms). Conduct periodic training on regulatory matters. Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external sources, and work on other special projects involving U.S. banking and lending matters. Supervise the firm Counsel for the firm AG US Private Bank and UBS Bank (Canada).
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 15 years of experience in bank regulatory matters. Should have strong academic credentials and a current admission to the Bar. Strong technical and practical understanding of US bank prudential regulation and supervision.
