Duties:
- Advise healthcare entities on federal and state regulatory issues.
- Guide Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs.
- Counsel clients on healthcare operations, including licensing and medical staff issues.
- Offer legal support to hospitals, health systems, physicians, behavioral health providers, pharmacies, managed care companies, federally qualified health centers, and medical device manufacturers.
- Handle matters related to HIPAA, including business associate agreements, data use agreements, risk assessments, and breach notifications.
- Navigate federal antikickback and Stark regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare law.
- Proven experience with HIPAA compliance and health information privacy.
- Expertise in advising on healthcare operations and regulatory issues.
Education:
- JD from an accredited university.
Certifications:
- Membership in the Oregon State Bar or eligibility to become barred in Oregon.
