Manager, Legal Services The candidate will work under the direction of the Director, Legal Services, and will primarily be responsible for drafting, negotiating, administering, and interpreting service agreements, real estate leases, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, and key vendor/supplier contracts, and provide advice and counsel to the Company Officers and management staff in other legal matters affecting the company. Will review, markup/draft (from forms and from scratch), negotiate and complete various types of commercial contracts, including facility lease agreements, professional services agreements, supplier agreements, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, statements of work, license agreements, RFP responses and supporting documents, across all Saddle Creek Corporation business units. Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial advice directly to internal clients. Support internal clients in negotiating services, identifying risks, liabilities and warranties, and other commercial terms. Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to quantify and evaluate risk. Assists with risk modeling and with the development of protocols. Prepares and implements policies and procedures in response to legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the business units.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD degree with excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Should have 1-3 years of experience in a government entity, law firm or corporate law department. Familiarity with Business to Business (B2B) commercial litigation dynamics essential. Knowledge of UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) that regulates our industry needed. Some knowledge of commercial real estate transactions preferred.
