Legal Assistant Duties: Responsible for producing and filing case documents in multiple states. Documents include post-judgment applications, garnishments, proposed judgments, and service documents. Work with attorneys, courts, and team members on a large number of cases as they progress through all stages of the legal process. Running SCRA checks. Completing service. E-filing documents on court websites. Handling cases in different stages of litigation or foreclosure while keeping up with strict timelines. Balancing shifting targets and priorities.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-High School education such as a Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 2-years’ experience in a fast-paced legal office environment with previous experience with related legal or process service preferred. Must have excellent organizational, follow-up, and case management skills. Ability to accurately type 60+ WPM- Intermediate MS Office knowledge, especially intermediate Outlook and Excel (formulas, sorting, filters). Ability to work independently and appropriately manage priorities. Very strong communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to use office machinery including copier, high speed scanner, and envelope stuffing machine. Must be a fast learner and willing to pick up and do any task, and learn.
