Profile

Paralegal The candidate will provide specialized and administrative support for members, associates, legal assistants and other designated firm personnel. Will work closely with assigned teams managing the day-to-day activities within the practice. Prepare IP Prosecution documents, including -U.S. Patent prosecution filings. Prepare correspondence, reports and enter legal documents. Assists with docket management systems. Demonstrates proficiency of the firm's word processing system by producing a variety of documents. Manage and/or maintain calendar scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, conferences and travel arrangements. Manage attorney/paralegal billable time by inputting into Firm’ s system, processes billing monthly, working closely with assigned billing coordinator. Keep current with expense reporting and processes check receipts. Provides quality client service by communicating professionally to internal and external client inquiries, answering phones and greeting clients. Work collaboratively with assigned team and section mates. Coordinate all administrative details and attorney projects including work flow between clients, timekeepers, production and night assistants. Maintain excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Participate in training opportunities to advance skill levels arid efficiency in firm software. Must have College degree or relevant work experience. Should have prior Patent Prosecution experience, preferably in legal or professional services organization. Must have knowledge of USPTO rules and practices. Should have knowledge of primary patent documents including Patent and Patent Prosecution histories; IPDAS, LISP-TO, filings, searching PTC. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Must be technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
