Senior Paralegal- Media Development & Production The candidate will work alongside a tight knit legal team on a variety of matters including those related to television development and production. Will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and drafting varying documents including talent and other services agreements. Meeting with clients to collect information and provide client support. Providing research and other assistance on various projects as needed. Sheparding documents through all stages of the deal from commencement to execution.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification or comparable experience. 5+ years relevant paralegal experience working in an in-house environment required; significant experience working with film and television transactional matters is required; experience working on matters involving streaming, interactive, and digital media is strongly preferred. Experience drafting, reviewing, editing and commenting to commercial contracts, involving film and television development, production, and distribution. Experience reviewing production agreements, including location agreements, appearance releases, materials release, footage licenses. Experience with processes to help identify and create legal, production and rights and clearance processes. High level understanding of guild and union agreements, working with minors and other production-related labor issues. Strong knowledge of music, copyrights, trademarks, and other theories and provisions central to film, television, streaming, and interactive media. Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and passion for results. Excellent organization and writing skills; ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve; creativity and communication skills. Aptitude for working as part of a team with a strong commitment to quality and passion for results; ability to communicate with internal parties at all levels and negotiate with external third parties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms; experience working with document management and/or workflow systems strongly preferred.
