A law firm specializing in tort litigation, construction, and employment law seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Pleasanton, CA office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil litigation cases, including personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction defect cases. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience and a passion for working in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction defect cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Analyze legal issues, identify case risks, and provide strategic counsel to clients.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being an active member of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (or the ability to obtain admission).

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
