Income Tax Senior (Partnerships) The candidate will be responsible for assisting in all U.S. federal and state tax returns and related schedules and reports. This position also coordinates with corporate accounting for the preparation of quarterly and annual REIT testing and tax provisions. Coordinates with Corporate Accounting for preparation of REIT testing and tax provision. Tax planning including researching issues and coordinating with internal department heads and external tax advisors. Prepares and/or reviews domestic tax returns and supporting work papers. Performs review and/or preparation of quarterly and annual estimated tax payments and extension. Assist in resolution of IRS, State and local tax audits. Coordinates with outside tax advisors on tax projects. Maintains tax depreciation information for acquired companies. Provides compliance assistance by providing support with SOX documentation and internal control provisions. Reviews and/or prepares responses to tax notices. Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary. Handles various other duties as delegated by the Senior Tax Manager.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required. Masters in Taxation Degree, CPA or J.D. preferred. Should have 2 yearsâ€™ accounting or tax experience with a multi entity company or two years in public accounting. Must have public or private tax compliance experience with various entity structures such as corporate, partnership, LLCâ€™s and trusts. Intermediate knowledge in Tax Compliance software required. Must have excellent planning and organizational skills. Should have time Management skills.
